The 'Classic Gaming Expo' is a gaming convention dedicated to the people, systems, and games of yesteryear, with an emphasis on historic video games. The CGE Expo was founded in 1999 by John Hardie, Sean Kelly, and Keita Iida with Joe Santulli joining later.

With the convention entering its 15th year, the organizer's turned to Doc4 Design to help create several pieces for this event including visitor badges, booth banners, print advertisements, and the exposition program booklet cover.

As always, we were honored to take on the task. Our designs for this event reference the 1980s 'retro' era of video game design, color, and development while incorporating modern fonts and layout choices for a retrospective and clean appearance.
