Turning Post-Market Waste Into Fresh Opportunity
After The Market is a web app designed to help farmers sell unsold produce after the farmer’s market ends—transforming what used to be waste into a new stream of revenue.
Every weekend, fresh, organic produce gets tossed simply because there’s no way to move it fast enough. But restaurants, grocers, and everyday customers would gladly buy that food—especially at a discount. After The Market connects the dots.
Farmers can quickly upload photos of their leftover goods to their personal “Booth,” set quantities, prices, and choose how orders will be fulfilled: on-farm pickup, local delivery, or through a shared community hub. Buyers can browse by product, farm, or location, and place orders directly from the app.
It’s a win-win-win:
The model is scalable to any region, with potential for localized spin-offs. Farmers subscribe to list on the platform, with tiered pricing based on sales volume—aligning our incentives with their success, whether the final deal closes on or off the app.
Our go-to-market strategy is grassroots and farmer-led: we introduce the app at markets, farmers spread the word to their customers, and the platform grows organically. All it takes is thoughtful tech, a few hours of outreach, and a low-lift hub coordinator.
